Copy details between tracks

Fill in one track, then copy its credits, language, and other details to the rest.

If your tracks share the same writers, performers, or settings, fill them in once and copy them to the rest.

Before you start

  • Your release needs at least 2 tracks.

  • Fill in the track you want to copy from, then select Save track.

Copy the details

  1. On the Tracks step, open the track you want to copy from.

  2. In the track's header, select Copy metadata.

  3. Under What to copy, select what you want to copy. Anything this track doesn't have yet is grayed out.

  4. Under To which tracks, choose All other tracks, or choose Pick tracks… and select the ones you want.

  5. Check What they'll get. It shows exactly what the other tracks will receive.

  6. Select Copy & close.

We save the other tracks right away.

What you can copy

  • Artists and Featured artists

  • Writers, Performers, and Contributors

  • Language and Advisory

  • AI usage (with the AI tool) and Samples (with the sample source)

We never copy titles, audio, or ISRCs (the codes that identify recordings in stores).

Copying replaces these fields on the other tracks. For example, if you copy writers, we remove the writers already on the other tracks and add these ones instead.
