Spare Music provides flexible permissions for team members, allowing you to control what they can access and manage within your account. By assigning specific roles, you can ensure that each team member has access to only the features they need.
Permission Levels
Permissions are divided into four key areas: Catalog, Tools, Analytics, and Financial. Each area offers varying levels of access.
Catalog
None: The team member cannot view or access release details.
View: The team member can view releases and their details.
Edit: The team member can edit release details and manage related data.
Tools
None: The team member cannot view or access tools.
View: The team member can view tools and their details, including splits.
Edit: The team member can manage tools and send splits. This also includes submitting requests for Whitelisting, Official Artist Channels and Split Templates.
Note: To send splits, a team member must have Edit access to the Tools section.
Analytics
View: The team member can view analytics and performance data.
None: The team member cannot access analytics.
Note: “View” is the only available permission for Analytics.
Financial
View: The team member can view financial data, such as statements.
None: The team member cannot access financial information.
Note: “View” is the only available permission for Financial data. We highly recommend only allowing trusted individuals access to your Financial data.
What Team Members Cannot Do
Regardless of their permissions, team members cannot:
Upgrade the plan of a team.
Manage payment settings.
Purchase additional account services such as Content ID.
Assigning Permissions
When adding or editing a team member, you can assign specific permissions for each section based on their role. Permissions can be updated at any time through the Team Settings page.
