You choose single, EP, or album when you create a release. While it’s still a draft, you can change the format on the Release details step, as long as your tracks still fit.
Switching the format
Open the draft release.
Go to Release details. You’ll see Single, EP, and Album.
Choose a format that fits your tracks. Each format has a limit:
Single: up to 3 tracks
EP: up to 6 tracks
Album: up to 35 tracks
If your release has too many tracks for a format, you can’t choose it. A note tells you what to do, like Delete 1 track to switch.
Select Continue.
On the Tracks step, the limit on how many tracks you can add now matches your new format. If you delete tracks, smaller formats become available right away.
Can I change the format after I’ve sent the release for review?
No. You can only change the format while the release is a draft.
What if my release already has too many tracks for its format?
You can still save your release details without changing the format. To switch to a smaller format, delete tracks until they fit.
