Before we get into the reason as to why it was removed, let's delve into what an Artifical Stream actually is. This is when someone either uses their account to repeatably play an artist's song with the intention to boost it's streaming count or uses a whole host of accounts, normally controlled by some bot, to inflate the streams for the album.
To be clear, it's totally fine for someone to play your song on repeat! Though those who stream your song with the same account across multiple devices at the same time are likely not doing so to listen to the song and instead boost the streams.
TLDR; You're using artificial means to increase your streams.
Stores will catch you so don't do it!
If stores catch you (and it's only a matter of time), the music will be removed from stores and you won't get paid.
When promoting your music, it's super important you use ligit methods. If someone is offering you 100,000 streams on your release, it may sound great but it's likely just them botting you. Don't fall for it! Activate a pre-save campaign or use a release page and promote your music properly.
