Statement CSV columns

What each column in a statement’s CSV report means.

A statement’s CSV report lists every sales line behind that month’s earnings. Here’s what each column means.

  • ID: An internal Spare Music ID for a specific sale. Give it to support if you have a question about that line.

  • Sales Date: The date, or approximate date, of the sale. Stores usually report monthly, so a stream from May 3, 2024 might show as the end of May.

  • Transaction Date: The date the royalty was credited to your account. It often differs from the Sales Date because stores report past activity at different times.

  • Release ID: Your release’s ID in Spare Music. It also appears in the URL when you view the release on our platform.

  • Label: The label on the release. It shows as “Spare Music” unless you’re on the Artist Pro or Label plan.

  • Release Code: The release’s UPC or EAN, the code that identifies it in stores.

  • Release Title: The published title of your release, with any version description the store reports.

  • Release Artist: The artists on the release. If there are several, they’re separated by “&”.

  • Track ID: The track’s ID in our system.

  • Track ISRC: The ISRC the track was released under, the code that identifies a recording in stores. It’s also shown in your Library.

  • Track Title: The title the track was sent to stores with.

  • Track Artist: The artists listed on the track.

  • Type: The type of royalty, usually “Streaming.”

  • Store: The store that reported the sale.

  • Territory: The country or region where the sale happened.

  • Quantity: The number of units (streams or sales) on the line.

  • Currency: The currency of the sale. All royalties are reported in USD.

  • Net Amount: What was credited to you after any admin fees or collaborator payments.
