Discover the difference between manual and automatic payments.

Updated over 7 months ago

At Spare Music, managing your earnings is streamlined through our flexible payment options. You can opt for either automatic or manual payments, each tailored to different needs and preferences.

Automatic Payments

With automatic payments, Spare Music ensures you receive your earnings monthly, typically around the 10th of each month. This hassle-free option means you don’t need to lift a finger once you’ve set it up. If your earnings surpass the minimum threshold set by your chosen payout method, you’ll automatically receive your funds. We’ll also keep you in the loop with notifications both when the payment process starts and when the funds are deposited into your account.

You have the option to set a personal payout threshold up to $250, independent of your payment method’s requirements. This can be particularly beneficial if you’re looking to accumulate a larger sum before incurring any transaction fees.

Manual Payments

For those who prefer more control, manual payments let you decide exactly when to withdraw your earnings. Simply visit your wallet and click the "Request Payout" button located in the top right corner whenever you’re ready.

Once requested, we will process your payment within seven days, though it often happens much quicker. If the "Request Payout" button isn’t visible, check that manual payments are enabled, your account is in good standing, and there are no pending payout requests.

Which Payment Method Should You Choose?

Manual payments are ideal for those new to Spare Music, particularly if your earnings are still growing and you wish to minimize transaction fees.

Automatic payments are best for artists who prefer a set-it-and-forget-it approach, allowing you to focus more on your music and less on administrative tasks.
