We’re strict about cover art because stores are. It’s often the first thing fans see. These are the most common reasons it’s rejected.
Text that isn’t about your release. Only include your artist name and release title. The title on the cover art must exactly match your release title.
Low quality. If the image is blurred or the text is hard to read, we reject it. Everything should be clear.
Images you don’t own. Use only your own original work. Don’t use a cartoon character or a photo you found online.
Social media. No usernames, handles, or icons for Facebook, Instagram, X, or any other network. No web addresses or promotional text either.
A barcode. Don’t include one. It isn’t allowed.
An advisory warning on a release that isn’t explicit. If your release isn’t marked as explicit, leave the warning off the cover art.
Cover art from another version. Use cover art made for this release.
Fixed it? Resubmit the release. See what happens next.
