Apply for a Vevo channel

Apply for a Vevo channel, see what it costs, and send videos, set premieres, or update its images.

Vevo is a music video network on YouTube. It only takes uploads from distributors like us, not from artists, so we apply for your channel and send your videos to Vevo for you.

What it costs

$49.99 once for each channel. Your first video upload is included.

Before you start

  • You pay by card at the last step, through a secure checkout powered by Stripe.

  • Have your first video ready. If you don’t have one yet, a visualizer over your artwork works.

Apply for your channel

  1. Select Tools in the menu on the left, then the VEVO Channels card (Your channels →).

  2. Select Start your channel →, or Start your channel · $49.99 if you have no channels yet. It takes 3 steps and about 2 minutes.

  3. Name your channel. Select the Artist and check the suggested Channel name. It must end in VEVO and match your artist name, like YOURNAMEVEVO. A name that doesn’t match is the most common reason Vevo says no. Check the LIVE PREVIEW, then select Continue.

  4. Choose a country. Select the Country where the artist is based, then select Continue.

  5. Pay and launch. Check the summary and select Pay $49.99 & launch.

We review your channel and send it to Vevo, and we email you at each step. Vevo usually approves in about 5 working days. You can follow your channel under Your channels on the same page.

Send a video

Your first video goes up with your channel. To send another, contact support with the video, its title, a description, a thumbnail, and the release date. Give us at least 48 hours’ notice before the launch date.

You need an approved Vevo channel first. If you’ve applied and it isn’t set up yet, wait for our confirmation before you ask for an upload.

Set up a premiere

Contact support and we’ll set it up. Vevo needs at least 72 hours’ notice, so ask before you upload.

Change your avatar or banner

Contact support. We can update them once we’ve sent a video to Vevo for you. Make sure your images meet YouTube’s image requirements.

Can I make a Vevo channel an Official Artist Channel?

No. A Vevo channel can’t become an Official Artist Channel. If you have both, you can add your Vevo channel ID when you apply for an Official Artist Channel, so its videos are merged in.
