If you’ve turned on YouTube Content ID, it can claim videos on your own channel too. To lift those claims, add your videos to the allowlist. Your video stays where it is and keeps earning. Adding videos to the allowlist is free.
Before you start
Only claimed videos qualify. We can only lift claims that already exist, so we can’t clear a video in advance. If a new upload gets claimed later, add that video to a new request.
Use full video links. They look like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abc123XYZ_0. The form doesn’t check your links, and bad links are the most common reason requests are rejected. Don’t use short links (youtu.be/…), YouTube Music links (music.youtube.com), or Shorts links (youtube.com/shorts/…).Fix a short link. Change it to
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=followed by the same 11 characters. On a computer, you can also copy the address from your browser’s address bar.
Send the request
In the menu on the left, select Tools. Then select the YouTube Video Whitelisting card.
Under Pick the artist, select the artist whose videos are being claimed, then select Continue.
Under The videos, paste one link on each line, then select Continue.
On Check & send, check the links. Then select Whitelist N videos, where N is how many links you added. For example, Whitelist 3 videos.
What happens next
Claims lift within 48 hours. To follow your request, use the table at the bottom of the page. It shows the artist, the videos, the date you sent it, and its status.
